Kristal Lee

Kristal Lee has worked as a diagnostic radiographer from 2006-2021 at Austin Health, a large tertiary hospital in Victoria. She gained extensive clinical experience there across a wide range of modalities. Since 2009 she has also worked as a Lecturer at Monash University in the Department of Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences, using her clinical experience to inform the education of undergraduate radiography students. Her passion for education led to her being the recipient of both the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Education Innovation and the Vice-Chancellor’s Citation for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning at Monash University. She is currently undertaking her PhD at the University of Sydney, researching educational approaches to radiography and medical students’ learning of image interpretation of urgent findings. As part of her PhD, she recently presented at the ASMIRT Conference 2023 in Sydney and won the People’s Choice Award for Best Presentation for her talk ‘See Something, Say Something: The Coroner’s Perspective’.
