CT Lunch & Learn Webinar 2: CT Cardiac with Advanced Visualization
In our pursuit for lifelong engagement through clinical education, we are pleased to share the next topic for our lunch and learn webinars:
CT Cardiac with Advanced Visualization
Date & Time:
Tuesday June 27th 2023
1300-1415 SGT (UTC+8:00)
We will deep-dive specifically into cardiac post-processing and how AV provides a professional with the tools they need to increase diagnostic confidence.
As intravenous contrast plays a significant role in cardiac scanning and post-processing, this webinar includes a special presentation by Bayer on renal safety and contrast considerations.
Noorlatisha Castillo (Tisha) will share information on Philips’ vendor agnostic advanced visualization platform to include existing and upcoming features that was released at RSNA 2022. She will introduce the upcoming software application: Auto Coronary Calcification Results, a software that can be applied on routine, plain chest CT that identifies calcification within the heart
Ruth Kresina will cover the basics of calcium scoring, an essential imaging sequence that is often included in the protocol for cardiac CT procedures. Non-contrast calcium scoring images are used for the evaluation of calcification in the heart’s vessels. Her presentation is supplemented by a clinical demonstration of calcium scoring post-processing using our vendor agnostic advanced visualization platform.
Dr May Lau will deep dive into understanding more about renal safety in patients undergoing coronary angiography and MSCT based on both cardiology and radiology guidelines to help guide decision making.
Dr John Younger will perform a clinical demonstration on the basics of cardiac CT analysis through the IntelliSpace Portal (ISP). Dr Younger will review cardiac CTA exams and post-process these cases methodically using the Comprehensive Cardiac Analysis (CCA) application. The application uses an automatic 3D model-based whole-heart segmentation to enable cardiac function analysis. Calculations include standard cardiac parameters such as EF, SV, CO, LV and RV mass, regurgitation volume and fraction index, RV/LV Early and Late filling volumes, and Early/Late LV filling ratio.
