Dr Sjirk Boon did his PhD in 1998 on dosimetry of scanning proton beams for radiotherapy. Afterwards he moved to industry with Philips Medical Systems. Within Philips Healthcare he has been part of IGT R&D system design, IGT Clinical Science and DoseWise solutions. He is currently focusing on innovations in the area of Customer Services and Education.
Jan Jans holds a degree in physics and has been working in R&D of Philips since 1986 in various field of research (spectroscopy, ellipsometry, x-ray fluorescence, industrial imaging). Since 2003 with Philips Healthcare as a system designer and image quality specialist. He is involved in international standardization and amongst other currently acts as project leader for a standard for acceptance testing and quality assurance for radiographic and radioscopic equipment.
