In our pursuit for lifelong engagement through clinical education, we are pleased to share the next topic for our lunch and learn webinars:
CT Cardiac with Advanced Visualization
Date & Time:
Tuesday June 27th 2023
1300-1415 SGT (UTC+8:00)
We will deep-dive specifically into cardiac post-processing and how AV provides a professional with the tools they need to increase diagnostic confidence.
As intravenous contrast plays a significant role in cardiac scanning and post-processing, this webinar includes a special presentation by Bayer on renal safety and contrast considerations.
Noorlatisha Castillo (Tisha) will share information on Philips’ vendor agnostic advanced visualization platform to include existing and upcoming features that was released at RSNA 2022. She will introduce the upcoming software application: Auto Coronary Calcification Results, a software that can be applied on routine, plain chest CT that identifies calcification within the heart
Ruth Kresina will cover the basics of calcium scoring, an essential imaging sequence that is often included in the protocol for cardiac CT procedures. Non-contrast calcium scoring images are used for the evaluation of calcification in the heart’s vessels. Her presentation is supplemented by a clinical demonstration of calcium scoring post-processing using our vendor agnostic advanced visualization platform.
Dr May Lau will deep dive into understanding more about renal safety in patients undergoing coronary angiography and MSCT based on both cardiology and radiology guidelines to help guide decision making.
Dr John Younger will perform a clinical demonstration on the basics of cardiac CT analysis through the IntelliSpace Portal (ISP). Dr Younger will review cardiac CTA exams and post-process these cases methodically using the Comprehensive Cardiac Analysis (CCA) application. The application uses an automatic 3D model-based whole-heart segmentation to enable cardiac function analysis. Calculations include standard cardiac parameters such as EF, SV, CO, LV and RV mass, regurgitation volume and fraction index, RV/LV Early and Late filling volumes, and Early/Late LV filling ratio.

CT Oncology with Advanced Visualization.
Date & Time:
Tuesday, October 3rd 2023
1230-1345 SGT (UTC+8:00)
Spectral CT provides tremendous information and unique to Philips is the ability to provide both conventional and spectral datasets with just 1 scan.
We will deep-dive specifically into head and neck lesion analysis showcasing the benefits of combining Spectral Imaging and Advanced Visualization to provide a professional with the tools needed to increase diagnostic confidence.
Dr. Sandeep Bhuta will demonstrate how spectral results are used in clinical practice to evaluate head and neck cancer cases. Spectral CT technology is shown to improve detection and characterization of lesions, thus improving overall patient outcomes.
Noorlatisha Castillo (Tisha) will share information on Philips’ vendor agnostic advanced visualization platform to include existing and upcoming features that was released at RSNA 2022.
Unique to PHILIPS, Magic Glass on PACS is a solution that greatly complements the collaboration of radiology systems and software by providing faster and simpler workflow processes.
Spectral images can be viewed instantaneously, saving time from having to perform multiple image reconstructions.
Ruth Kresina will be discussing the basics of Spectral CT and provide an overall understanding of Spectral Imaging,PHILIPS detector based scanners provide 8 spectral results, each having its own strength in providing a multitude of information for more precise diagnosis
James Tan is our Clinical Applications Specialist Team Leader. He will showcase PHILIPS advanced visualization solution and perform a clinical demonstration of the Multi-modality Tumor Tracking (MMTT) application.
MMTT can be used to evaluate imaging from several modalities to enable efficient comparison, over multiple time-points.He will review oncology data, showing tips and tricks on how to successfully utilize the application to analyze lesions and obtain the clinical results desired.
Spectral imaging is a promising technique for patients with renal impairment, utilizing lower contrast amount without compromising image evaluation.
